"Most of my exchanges with Kassidy had been brief until we began to communicate about fire mitigation around my house and outbuildings in the foothills. In order to renew Homeowners Insurance, my brother and I had to deal with State Farm’s requirements for clearing duff and limbing and cutting trees near the buildings.
